We are obsessed with voice science and adult learning.
Our pedagogy draws from current research in vocology, motor learning, anatomy, and adult psychology. We use scaffolded instruction to support progress over time, with no one-size-fits-all corrections.
Students receive direct, clear feedback grounded in vocal function, student empowerment and artistic reflection. Every session, class, and performance opportunity is designed to build skill that lasts.

The name D’Amato means “beloved” in Italian.
It reflects the music that shaped our founder—Italian opera—and the kind of studio culture we build here. We believe that great voice work begins with a foundation of safety, care, and respect. Our students are not just welcomed. They are known and integral co-creators of our culture.

1. Fundamentals Classes
Enroll in our 4-8 week learning-science driven, artist lead fundamentals classes.
For adults starting, returning, or strengthening their foundations. These classes are welcoming to all levels- from “I’ve never sang in public” to “I’m a regular performer looking to finally understand my voice”.

2. Membership
Ongoing vocal training, performances, practice rooms, and artistic community for adult singers.
Train every month through studio masterclasses, technique intensives, performance opportunities, and optional private coaching — online and in San Francisco.
Use membership alongside your private lessons, choirs, musicals, bands, classes, or your own performance goals.
